We are so thrilled to be able to put together tonight's Mikvah evening. Tonight's program is dedicated to celebrating love and unity within our community.
And to all the women who attend the Chaya Mushka Mikvah. Over the last two years, I was so touched witnessing the self-sacrifice of so many women who attended the mikvah under dire circumstances.
The amazing resilience and determination to embrace a Jewish way of life and Jewish continuum of using the mikvah as a fundamental mitzvah in preserving the Jewish family. This year was remarkable, whilst calling potential donors to cover the expenses of this evening, we were asked "How much do you need?" The generous and open-hearted spirit in which our donors have contributed to this evening reflects the importance of this mitzvah andits impact on our community. Our donors have been amazing!
The Lubavitcher Rebbe had a vision, that mikvaot should be elegant, beautiful and spiritually inviting to all those who attend. A space where every woman should feel comfortable and close to Hashem and love the mitzvah of mikvah. The mikvah, named after the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka is a Mikvah that portrays the Rebbe's vision.
May the Rebbetzin’s blessings always shine here. Our founder Reb Arel Serebryanski z l and his dear wife Zlata took the Rebbe's vision and with all their hearts and souls built our mikveh for every Jewish woman who enters our shores.
The mikvah affects future generations for the entire Jewish people. It is indeed a great honour and privilege to be a part of this incredible mitzvah.
It ism incumbent upon me to thank all those who show selfless dedication with their time for our community mikvah.
To Rabbi Lesches for being the most dedicated Rav. He is always available and present to answer the myriad of questions that are asked.
Thank you to my dear husband Kalman who diligently treats the water every day and does all the work behind the scenes with the help of Rabbi Avremel Krinsky.
Thank you to the dedicated staff of cleaners who ensure the cleanliness of the Mikvah each and every day.
To my team of mikvah ladies who are on hand to take over from me on those evenings that I am unable to attend to the mikvah.
It says that it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community to run a warm functioning and welcoming mikvah.
A special thanks to our marvelous committee who helped organise tonight. Thank you to my invaluable team, tonight's volunteers, my family and to each hand everyone of you. Forever grateful and wishing everyone blessings good health, wealth, love and may this mitzvah lead to the ultimate redemption with Moshiach.
